Oddly, the entry I’d made last week (How to move during a hurricane–title) is missing. Not visible on the blog, not visible in the dashboard as unpublished or any other such possibility. Don’t know what to say about other than it’s something to go on my long, long list of to-do’s and to speculate that it’s something to do with the change in hosting company management and ensuing discussion back and forth with the new folks about this site. Moving physical locations is one thing … I’m not pleased to have to be thinking about having to make a virtual move of this website at this moment.
Yet, we did manage to move without much interference from Ernesto. The answer to the question posed (the missing entry) on How to move during a hurricane, which I answered at the time by saying I didn’t really have any idea, has since been answered by: Wait — simply wait! More than likely, the potential hurricane will be downgraded. As was Ernesto. Packing up in Charleston, we had more flooding and rain many other unexpected times. Driving up (pictures to come), never was there more than mist and some occasional, dramatic moody skies. The weather here is cool. Not muggy. Not buggy. Goodbye, Charleston!
(And now, utterance of magical incantations that this entry might actually post.)

What an interesting time to move. I’m glad things went okay.
Good luck getting settled into your new home. I saw your post on moving during a hurricane before the web ate it. I can vouch for your sanity, not that I’m a reliable reference.

[...] Also, it seems that when my titles are too long, as in How to move during a hurricane (yeah, I’m still peeved about that), the entry can disappear. And I have so far not wanted to invest the time in figuring out why and how to correct it. Fun, it’s supposed to be fun, that’s why. [...]
