This month’s issue of The Sun has a great short story in it, Essay #3: Leda and the Swan(pdf).
We came across this story in the 2005 edition of the anthology Best New American Voices (Harcourt), which collects the finest unpublished writing from college writing programs and workshops around the country. We weren’t the only ones who fell in love with it, and by the time we inquired about a reprint, it was already part of Eric Puchner’s first collection of short fiction, Music through the Floor (Scribner).
Eric Puchner has a website, where you can read more about him and his book, which I plan to read right away.
