Canada calling

Have been thinking the past few days about Canada, about being in Montreal this time last year.

And even though it was freezing, and even though we got locked in our hotel room one evening, we said we’d want to go back. When it was warmer! Now, here’s an excuse. (Sure, sort of flimsy, but still … I want to go.) This is in Toronto:

In your face! The Art Gallery of Ontario is launching its first-ever exhibition created entirely by the public. Opening July 1, In Your Face is an exhibition of portraits collected from the general public to celebrate the individuality and diversity of Canada. Submissions are now being accepted for the exhibition and the Gallery will be entering the completed project for consideration by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest collection of portraits ever assembled.

Surely, amongst the diversity, they will have a category for wanna-bes, to which I can send my portrait, right?
